Welcome to blessence magazine - March 2010 |
|
Spring is almost here even though the weather is showing no signs of letting up. Soon there will be brighter mornings and evenings, pretty yellow daffodils and birds tweeting beautiful song.
Spring reminds us of new birth and motherhood. Let’s celebrate Mother’s Day (14th March) by remembering the mother figures around us. Get together with the mums and children in the community and do something exciting together.
We need not go it alone. Our children could learn a great deal from other children of same-sex couples.
This month also brings International Women’s Day (8th): ‘A major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women.’ We have we come a mighty long way girls! Why not get together with some friends, join a march or simply check out what’s happening in your local community? (www.internationalwomensday.com)
We can now all come out of hibernation and dust ourselves off for lots of social fun. As always there’s loads of events to choose from.
See you there!
