 Oysters UK celebrated its first birthday on Saturday 20th June 2009. The popular club night was billed by brain child and organiser, Sky Young, as ‘A big birthday bash, not to be missed’. As part of her invite Sky also sent out a ‘big thank you to everyone for time and valuable support’ during the past year. |
| On the night all clubbers were given the opportunity to enter a free raffle and prizes were given out to three winners along with homemade cake for all. DJs Levi and Sensi spun classic garage, soul, old skool and lover's rock tunes, which have become Oysters UK’s trade mark. The event was well attended and revellers danced non-stop until the lights came on at 4am, thanks to the Oak Bar staff extending the party vibe for an extra hour. Club goer, Yvonne, commented on the night: ‘What a great night me and my lovely lady Rose had, our first time there, and we will definitely be back again. It was great to be a part of your first year celebrations, here’s to year two and the rest. ‘Thanks so much for giving us a safe place to have a great time, with good company and brill music.’ Sky, who organises the night with her wife, Monica, was very happy with the way the evening turned out. She said: ‘My wife and I would like to say a very big thank you for helping us celebrate Oysters UK’s first birthday in style. ‘It was so good to see you having so much fun. The night was full of love, laughter and happiness. ‘Well done to the lucky winners of the FREE raffle. And hope you enjoyed the cake my wife made for us all. |
